Temporary, Daily rate: £130 – £175 

Plumstead Bond is currently working in partnership with a world class global organisation. They are the market leader within this engineering sector and work with global business to deliver the best products/ services  in the market. Long established business relationships with over 100 years in the sector.

They have a new Purchasing Manager role working within the purchasing department to select and develop suppliers to meet quality, availability and cost. Assisting  management and the business as a whole by means of recommendations and by challenging processes within purchasing to improve the current situtation.As part of a Shared Service structure you will be responsible for leading a small team to support the finance, IT, purchasing, site and facility areas of the business.

A large part of the role will require building upon supplier relationships, implementing and developing the purchasing strategies within the entities and negotiation. Ideally you will be CIPS qualified or studying towards a purchasing qualification. You will be required to demonstrate your ability to work professional and with the commercial interests of the business. Experience of contract negotiation and direct and indirect and services procurement. Experience within engineering and manufacturing would be advantageous.
